Servais Knaven has signed with Team Milram for a year, the German team announced Wednesday. The 37-year-old Classics specialist is leaving Team Columbia, and is Milram's ninth new signing for the coming season.
"Servais is noted for his experience and his in-depth knowledge of almost every one-day Classic in Europe," said Milram manager Gerry van Gerwen. "Especially in the Spring races, he will help us bring our top riders into the right position at the right time."
Knaven was Dutch national champion in 1995 and won Paris-Roubaix in 2001. He has ridden the Tour de France nine times and the Vuelta a España four times.(SW)
