Catering to both mountain goats and flatland rouleurs alike, the Silver Edition is available in both the lightweight Metron 45 RS, and the hyper-fast Metron 60 RS.

A total of 150 wheelsets are available across both depths, and when they’re gone, they’re gone.

Designed for the fans

The Silver Edition isn’t simply a colourway. It’s a statement piece built upon Vision’s flagship wheelsets.

The defining visual element is its gloss silver decals, paired with distinctive grey hubs that house bearings from the Danish marginal gains experts, CeramicSpeed.

Coupled with the aero-bladed carbon spokes, contemporary rim design with 23mm internal width, hooked beads, and Vision's V-1000 PRS hub, these are feature-rich, technologically advanced wheels that would fit right into the professional peloton, yet paradoxically, you won’t see them in the WorldTour.

Vision’s sponsored teams, including EF Pro Cycling and the ever-entertaining Unibet Rose Rockets, will continue to race the standard Metron RS wheels. So when you see Ben Healy attacking his way to another stage win at the 2026 Tour de France, you could do so in the knowledge that, although your FTP isn't quite at his level, at least your wheels are superior.

Designed to win

RS stands for Racing Series, and every element of the Metron RS platform was designed with race-day performance in mind.

Both the Metron 45 RS CS Silver ED and Metron 60 RS CS Silver ED are built around a full carbon aero rim, developed through extensive CFD analysis and validated in the wind tunnel.

Each wheelset features a full carbon rim with a 23mm internal channel and hooked bead, designed for optimal performance with 28mm tyres.

The aero bladed carbon spokes, of which there are 21 at the front and 24 at the rear, are laced in a 2:1 pattern for balanced tension, and held in place with ABS self-locking nipples, ensuring consistent spoke tension over time.

They also feature Vision's new lightweight V-1000 hub with 72T PRS (Power Ratchet System) technology. This houses a Helical Clutch ratchet with 72 teeth, equaling a five degree engagement angle. This leads to a 24 per cent faster pickup than the previous Vision hubs, meaning power transfer is even more immediate.

The CeramicSpeed bearings are handbuilt in Denmark, complete with ultra-smooth Grade 3 silicon nitride balls, with tolerances measured in microns. These are paired with hardened steel races which feature ultra-polished grooves, a reinforced polyamide cage, and low-friction grease to ensure maximum performance, no matter how powerful your sprint is. The result world-class efficiency, better power transmission to the road, and class-leading durability.
