Teams, riders and races use social media to wish their followers a happy holiday season
The holidays provide another off-season opportunity for teams and riders to connect with their fans, and as families and friends gather to celebrate Christmas, many took to Twitter to wish their followers salutations. Teams from Deceuninck-QuickStep to Israel Cycling Academy joined riders like Marianne Vos and Elia Viviani in wishing their Twitter followers a Merry Christmas, Joyeux Noël or Feliz Navidad.
Wanty-Groupe Gobert's Guillaume Martin promised to give away a jersey to the person who came closest to guessing how many kilometres he's ridden since January 1 of this year. Other teams and industry vendors offered similar contests and Christmas giveaways. We've collected a sampling of some of the cycling Christmas tweets below.
