If you’re in the market for a new bike this Easter, Decathlon could be a smart first stop, offering not just big savings but a way to give your old bike a second life.

The retailer’s Buy Back scheme, launched in 2023, allows customers to trade in used sporting equipment in exchange for cash.

And on top of that bonus, each Buy Back customer will be entered into a draw to win one of five £1000 vouchers.

How the Decathlon Buy Back program works

Decathlon's Buy Back scheme is available to Decathlon Members only, but that's free to join, and will allow you to earn points on purchases.

It accepts 50 different items across more than 15 sports and activity categories, including cycling, watersports, golf, horse riding, racquet sports such as tennis, padel, badminton, or squash), combat sports, GPS tech & smartwatches, textiles, camping, roller sports, fitness, and more.

Here's how it works:

After an initial online estimate, you can take your old item into the store for assessment. (Image credit: Decathlon)
  • Request an estimate: Fill in an online assessment on Decathlon's website to get a rough valuation of your existing item.
  • Visit your local store: Find your nearest Decathlon store here.
  • Trade in your item: Take the old item with you for an in-person evaluation to verify the earlier estimate.
  • Receive cash or a gift card: You can choose to take an instant bank transfer, but for Easter weekend only, if you choose to accept a gift card instead, you'll receive an extra 20% bonus.
