Stage 4: Lennart Jasch pulls off first pro victory on stage 4 from breakaway
Lennart Jasch (Tudor Pro Cycling) earned the biggest win of his career to date, taking a solo victory on the hilly fourth day of racing. He was part of the original five-rider breakaway which escaped 18km into the 168km stage, and went clear with 25km remaining into Trento. Matteo Sobrero (Lidl-Trek) finished second and local rider Federico Iacomoni (Team UKYO) was third. Giulio Pellizzari (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) will carry the race leader's jersey into Friday's closing queen stage.
Stage 3: Tom Pidcock ramps up for Liège-Bastogne-Liège with reduced bunch sprint victory on stage 3
Tom Pidcock (Pinarello Q36.5) used a well-timed sprint to win stage 3. He beat stage 1 winner Tommaso Dati (Team UKYO) to the line, with Egan Bernal (Ineos Grenadiers) going third. Giulio Pellizzari (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) retained a 4-second lead in the GC over Thymen Arensman (Ineos Grenadiers). Bernal moved into third overall.
Stage 2: Giulio Pellizzari shoots to victory and seizes race lead in uphill finish
Giulio Pellizzari (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) took victory on stage 2 of the Tour of the Alps, narrowly pipping Thymen Arensman (Ineos Grenadiers) to the line from a small group sprint on the uphill finale to Val Martello.
Pellizzari also took over the lead of the race thanks to his victory, with stage 1 winner Tommaso Dati (Team UKYO) not featuring in the thrilling finale.
Stage 1: Tommaso Dati beats Tom Pidcock to the line in opening stage sprint finish
It was a surprise winner on stage 1, with Continental rider Tommaso Dati (Team UKYO) beating the WorldTour riders in a sprint, after late attacker Thymen Arensman (Ineos Grenadiers) just came up short in his attempt to grab a solo victory.
Tour of the Alps 2026 information
The Tour of the Alps, previously known as the Giro del Trentino until 2016, is a 2.Pro-level Italian stage race that was first raced in 1963 and has become a staple of the spring calendar.
The race is a key build-up race for the first Grand Tour of the season, the Giro d'Italia. The race is often won by a rider targetting the Giro GC, and last year Michael Storer (Tudor) took victory after five days of racing, ahead of Thymen Arensman (Ineos Grenadiers).
As the name suggests, the Tour of the Alps route takes place mainly in the Alps in Northern Italy and Austria.
The 2026 edition will be the 49th running of the race and will take place from Monday, April 20, to Friday, April 24.
