Kenny Van Hummel (Skil-Shimano) won the Tour of Hainan's fourth stage in the city of Wenchang. The 28-year-old Dutchman bested race leader Valentin Iglinskiy (Astana) and Ivan Kovalev (Russian Federation) in the field sprint at the stage's conclusion.

Iglinskiy remains in the overall lead and time bonuses earned by the Kazakh rider extended his lead over the field. Iglinskiy now leads Johnnie Walker (Footon-Servetto) by 15 seconds and Taiji Nishitani (Aisan Racing Team) by 16 seconds.

The peloton faces a 156.8km stage on Friday between Wenchang and Haikou.
