The opening day of the 2017 USA Cycling Professional Road Championships in Knoxville, Tennessee, on June 24 will see the men and women tested on a 7.7km time trial course along the Tennessee River. Women will cover three laps for 23.1km and the men tackle four laps for 30.8km.

The men and women will take on the road race during the second day of racing at the 2017 US pro road championships on June 25.

Both races will take place on a 12.8km circuit in Knoxville that features the Sherrod Street climb, a slightly less than 1km ascent that reaches pitches of 10 percent. A long, mostly flat run to the finish could give the sprinters a chance to hang on and contest the win.

The women will cover eight laps for a total of 102km, with the men taking on 14 laps for 179km.
