New Prologo MIG AIR CPC and MIG CPC gloves ensure aerodynamics, fit and comfort
Prologo combines aerodynamic fabrics and high tech grips in its new pro-level cycling gloves
If you’re looking for a new pair of cycling gloves, you’ll probably want three things: superb hand comfort, great fit and maybe a dose of aero gains. Prologo has launched two new high-end short finger gloves, the MIG CPC and MIG AIR CPC, which promise all three.
They’ll be used by the Bahrain Victorious team at the Tour de France and they’re also trusted by elite gravel and XC MTB riders to provide the grip and long-distance comfort they need.
Here’s how Prologo’s new gloves combine two of its top technologies to help you ride further, faster in greater comfort.
Enhanced CPC grips
CPC stands for Connect Power Control. First developed for military applications and also used in Formula 1, this patented technology consists of tiny conical protrusions on the palm’s surface, which deform under pressure and offer enhanced airflow and grip that’s not affected by rain. It has featured in a number of Prologo’s short finger and long finger gloves since it was launched by Prologo in 2013, while its performance saddles with CPC are also a popular choice.
For Prologo’s new MIG AIR CPC and MIG CPC gloves, CPC has been enhanced, with a new 3D CPC polymer structure that improves grip and increases its ability to absorb vibration and micro-impacts.
The layout of the CPC elements in the palm has been refined leading to greater hand comfort, lower fatigue and stress on joints, muscles and tendons and, as a bonus, better blood flow through your palms, better bike control and improved handling.
Prologo has combined this patented technology with its aerodynamic glove design and aero fabrics in the new gloves.
The MIG CPC gloves incorporate a comfortable extended cuff that avoids the need for a separate closure at the wrist, while new fabrics ensure a precise fit on the hand and offer longevity even after extensive use and repeated washes.
In addition, Prologo has a new colour option, Optic White, which has been added to the range to reduce heat build-up by reflecting sunlight on hot rides.
New aero, breathable glove fabrics
Prologo has also updated the fabrics used for the MIG AIR CPC gloves, with a new upper section made of aerodynamic fabric that’s wind tunnel tuned for speeds between 30km/h and 45km/h.
It incorporates a 3D aerodynamic pattern that’s permanently woven into the fabric structure, ensuring that the aero properties don’t degrade over time and providing long-lasting resistance to wear. It’s comfortable too, with a soft hand feel, so it’s not just for short duration time trials but also for long road and gravel rides.
There’s a new technical fabric on the back of the hand that’s lighter and more breathable, as well as more elastic, enhancing comfort in warmer conditions. The new MIG AIR CPC aero gloves come in three colours: black, white and celestial.
Modest pricing
Despite all the tech in the new gloves, they’re an inexpensive upgrade to enhance your ride comfort. Both the MIG AIR CPC and MIG CPC are priced at £43 / $47 / €49 and available in sizes from XS to XL via Prologo’s site and Prologo retailers.
