Tour Femenino de San Luis 2016

The Tour Femenino de San Luis will embark on its third edition in 2016. The event was classed as a UCI 2.2 elite women's race in 2014 and 2015 but has moved up to a UCI 2.1 event. The race is set to take place from January 10-15 in and around the city of San Luis in Argentina.

The men's UCI 2.1 Tour de San Luis will be held directly following the women's race from January 18-24.

The Tour Femenino de San Luis will showcase a strong field including defending champion Janildes Fernandes Silva, who will again be supported by a strong team from Brazil. The field will also include American UCI teams UnitedHealthcare, that won three stages in 2015, and Tibco-SVB that won one stage. Italy-based UCI team Ale Cipollini will also be on the start line.
