Arvid de Kleijn storms to victory at GP de Fourmies
Dutchman powers away from Gerben Thijssen and Søren Wærenskjold in final bunch sprint for home
Arvid de Kliejn (Tudor) took his first win since March with a storming sprint at the GP de Fourmies ahead of Gerben Thijssen (Intermarché-Wanty), powering away from the Belgian in the final 50 metres.
De Kleijn was led out perfectly by his Tudor train heading into the final run for home, just as was the case with his last win at Paris-Nice, before launching up the inside around the gradual right-hand bend and easily gapping his competitiors.
Thijssen and the rest were were beat by the flying Dutchman, with Søren Wærenskjold netting third for Uno-X Mobility in Fourmies.
