Toothache for Tom

Tom Boonen (Quick.Step) is once again suffering from a toothache, reports Sportwereld.be. The World Champion had to visit the dentist yesterday in favour of a photo shoot with clothing sponsor Le Coq Sportif. "Tom went to the dentist," said Quick.Step director Wilfried Peeters. "He diagnosed an inflammation for which Tom is now taking antibiotics. Tom also had to get two teeth removed. Then they can't affect him any more this season."

Boonen's tooth problems manifested themselves before the Tour of Belgium last year, and also during the Tour de France, when he needed to get two abscesses removed.
