The UCI's cyclo-cross World Cup kicks off for the 2011-2012 season in Plzen for the first of two back-to-back World Cups in the Czech Republic out of the eight-race series for elite men.
For the second year in a row, the Plzen round includes a race for elite women, which this year grew to seven events. Under 23 men and Juniors will kick off their World Cup series the following week in Tabor.
