Germany's Milram builds for Spring Classics with Servais Knaven and possibly Karsten Kroon

Team Milram continues to build up its Spring Classics team for the coming season, extending its contract with veteran Servais Knaven and considering Karsten Kroon.
Germany's Milram team is negotiating with Dutchman Kroon, a source told Cyclingnews. The team announced earlier this week that it was also negotiating with Belgian Gert Steegmans, who left Team Katusha earlier this month.
Kroon, 33, also has offers from current team Saxo Bank and Vacansoleil.
He won a Tour de France stage in 2002 and has twice won Rund um den Henninger Turm. This year he finished second in the race and second in the Amstel Gold classic.
Milram also announced that it has extended its contract with Dutchman Servais Knaven, 38, for one more year. He won Paris-Roubaix in 2001 and "brings enormous experience and knowledge of the Spring Classics" to the team, said team manager Gerry van Gerwen.
"I enjoy riding in this team," said Knaven. You can feel the great development and I want to do my part to contribute to the team's success."
Knaven has started Paris-Roubaix 15 times, the Tour de France nine times, the Vuelta a España four times and the Giro d'Italia once.
