Results

Young Dutch sensation Theo Bos posted the time to beat early in qualifying, with his sizzling 10.339 withstanding the best efforts by riders of the calibre of Ryan Bayley (Australia), and former World Champions Jan Van Eijden (Germany) and Florian Rousseau.

Germany’s Matthias John was the only rider to go quicker, pipping Bos by 0.017 to earn the number one seeding for the next round. The other riders to ride under 10.4 seconds were Damian Zielinski (Poland), Keirin Champion Jamie Staff (Great Britain) and defending Champion Laurent Gane (France).
