Stage 2 - June 8: Bron - Saint-Etienne, 181 km

Tuesday's Stage 2 isn't that long, but with the heat in the mid-80's (30 degrees celsius) and some hard climbing, the DL peloton likely won't arrive in St.Etienne, the former French capital of bicycle manufacturing, all together as in Bron the day before. The final ascent from the Rhône River valley up the Cote de Saint-Desirat (Cat.4) after 131 km, Col de Fayet (Cat.4) after 145 km and Col de la Croix de Chaubouret (Cat.2, 1201m) at 165km is followed by the fast, steep descent of Rochetaille before the traditional finish on Cours Fauriel.

Climbs

Cote de Marnans (Cat.4) 70km
Cote du Chateauneuf-sur-Galure (Cat.4) 101km
Cote de Saint-Desirat (Cat.4) 131km
Col de Fayet (Cat.4) 145km
Col de la Croix de Chaubouret (Cat.2-1201m) 165km
