Day 1 - June 23: Men's Individual Time Trial, 27 km

Muravyev gets second title

Dmitry Muravyev (Credit Agricole) has won the Kazakhstan time trial championships for the second time in his career, having also won in 2003. Muravyev rode 33'46.39 over the 27 km parcours to beat Maxim Iglinsky (Domina Vacanze) by 56 seconds and Maxim Gurov (Almaty) by 1'24. The field was comparatively weak because most of the top riders were aiming at the road race. "It was my main target, and I had good condition to win," Muravyev said.
