The course for the finale of the Cross Crusade series was characterized by winding trails in the woods, muddy slippery turning descents that challenged riders' descending skills and their tires' traction, and the six barrier dismount("the Six Pack").

In the women's race, Anne Knapp (Kona) (US National champion) established an early lead and held it for the win. Rhonda Mazza (S&M) chased for second place and won the State championships as the first Oregonian. Kristy Berg (Bicycle Centers) chased in third place until her chain jammed on a turn, allowing Bridget Stoik (Velo Shop), Karen Kenlan (Sunnyside Sports) and Alice Pennington (S&M) to get by. Eventually, Karen Kenlan (Sunnyside Sports) finished third, Bridget Stoik (Veloshop) fourth, and Alice Pennington (S&M) fifth.

In the Single Speed race, riders were awarded double points for wearing a speedo. Two riders chose to take up the promoter up on this offer in the B's race... a brave task on a chilly November day in Oregon.

In the Elite Men's race, a small trio of Barry Wicks (Kona), Eric Tonkin (Kona) and Shannon Skerrit (Bike Gallery) established a gap. They were chased by Loren Hansen (Bianchi), Alex Andel (Broadmark) and Mark King (Sunnyside Sports). After a number of jabs by Wicks and Skerrit, Wicks eventually launched an attack that would lead him to the win. Tonkin and Skerrit fought out the race for second place which came down to a tight sprint at the finish won by Tonkin. After Alex Andel was taken out of contention for the top places by a flat, Mark King and Loren Hansen battled for fourth place with it coming down to a sprint won by Loren Hansen.

In the Masters race, Matt Hill (TiCycles) beat Troy Tucker (Bike Gallery) for the Masters win, but Troy Tucker got the title of Oregon Masters Champ.
