Wiseman, Cosgrove & Millar stand out

Spectators would have enjoyed a great display of track racing on Friday night. Riders contested a full event featuring two handicap races, two scratch races and an Italian Pursuit in all divisions. Standout rider of the night in the junior division was Chrissie Cosgrove who won both the 1000mtr handicap and the 10 lap scratch race. Young Quentin Millar was always up against it being the scratch man but he continues to get stronger by doing the hard work. Tim Wiseman from Bundaberg proved strong in the combined A and B grade racing. He won the 10 lap scratch race and then looked to be out of the last event of the night, a 20 lap scratch race. Tim showed great determination to hang in and tough out the repeated attacks of Hayden Josefski. He crossed the line ahead of Hayden with seasoned campaigner Arthur Puie third. David Keevers had a strong ride coming in forth behind Arthur.

Vets racing was also strong on Friday night with George Wroe showing good form by placing in every event he contested.

Racing next Friday night. Nominations 7.00pm, racing starts 7.30pm.
