Interbike OutDoor Demo; Bootleg Canyon, Boulder City, Nevada
Bootleg Canyon. The name may give mental images of gunslingers, outlaws and
rounding up a posse, but the only steeds you will find here have two wheels
instead of four legs, and the saddles aren't quite as big.
Home to one of IMBA's "Epic Rides", Bootleg Canyon is the location
of Interbike's two-day OutDoor Demo, giving the punters a chance to test out
next years model bikes in a safe, closed environment. The location features
an extensive trail network, a professionally built BMX track, closed-road loop,
downhill-specific trail, cyclo-cross loop and a dirt-jump demo.
With almost every kind of bike you can think of on hand, as well as accessories,
clothing, components, helmets and more, you can spend two full days and still
not see everything… but you will clock up some kilometres on the latest
gear.
The OutDoor Demo kicks off our Interbike coverage for 2004, so make sure you
stick around… and you hide your credit-cards.
