Wall Ball
Hallo all,
First or all I would like to congratulate David and Kasia on the good news,
all the best! Nice work.
It has been a couple of busy weeks, with some good results in local kermesse
racing from the CN boys. Great news is that there is a CN Team going to Canada
on the 12th June. We will be doing the Tour de Beauce, a six day stage race.
Should be a very good experience for all. A big thanks to all our sponsors for
helping us get there!
Last weekend I set off on a little trip to my old stomping grounds, Everbeek
(where I lived last year). The reason for this trip was to catch up with my
PR and Coach combination, Nick and Robbie! I rocked up in Geraardsbergen where
our local coffee shop was, just to fill in some time before going to a race,
then to Nick's. Well, out the front of the coffee shop were two bikes...that's
right, they were in there talking it up as usual. Hey, what are you doing here?
What's going on? Funny stuff.
Plan was to do the race then off to Robbie's for one of those famous BBQs.
As usual the BBQ was five-star, meat, wine and good stories! The next day was
the 2hr coffee shop loop, still as good as last year.
After getting home to Booischot I lasted two days and thought I should get
on the train and go somewhere else. So in preparation for Canada I headed down
to Liege with Jugs for three days of Bergs. We had three great days of riding
and enjoyed our stay at Liege Hostel. Jugs will report more in detail!
House News - at times we can get a little bored, so even small things can
interest us. The sun is out, so we are out the front of house on the road smashing
a ball against the wall trying to out play each other. "Wall Ball" is the game,
it is getting very competitive and the bats are cracking under the pressure.
Most of the locals that drive over our court have a good laugh (what are these
Aussie freaks doing?), might have something to do with Bok's playing style or
Leigh's head band. I think Wall Ball is the winner.
This weekend will be busy, The Older ones are racing on Saturday and the young
ones on Sunday, both big races with good results expected in each.
Cycling Tip - don't break spokes in both front and back wheels on the first
day of three days in the bergs, Jugs!
Tot Ziens

P.S. Hi to all mates in Byron Bay and Gold Coast (surfclub-cycling), rip into
it!
