Back in the swing

Hello to everybody,

I hope you had an enjoyable New Year... I did!

I have been back in the saddle for some time now and also in the gym, getting buff... not really, just some leg work and a little bit of upper body.

My training has been coming along quite nicely, combining Coluzzi bunch ride and the Wednesday bash to the 'Gong [Wollongong-Ed] with Whitey and the boys and also some good rides up in the Blue Mountains.

My first rendezvous for 2005 was the Bay Series... a bit of a shock to the system after a few months of no intensity! Then the Aussie titles in Adelaide... actually the Adelaide Hills, and yep they were right, hills indeed!

I snivelled around in the chase group and managed to finish 25th. Better than last year. I was happy with how I rode on a course that I was less than suited to. I am sure I was making all sorts of funny noises at the top of the climb each lap!

It was good to get a 180km race in the legs and to show what I have to work on for my return to the Cyclingnews.com team this year, it was also good to catch up with some of my old team mates and to chew the fat with Wormy, Funky and Robbie, and also to stay with my good mate Klayten Smith.

Wormy was going well, as usual, pulling out a top 15 ride. Good job Cameron!

Anyway, it is time for this little tacker to have a sleep,

Cheers,
Cody
