Cyclingnews.com's 2008 readers' poll

The voting has closed

You could win...

If you want to fly like Fabian Cancellara this Christmas, Cyclingnews and Zipp might just be able to help. One lucky entrant in this year's reader poll will receive a pair of Zipp's 81mm deep 808 tubular wheels on the new 88/188 hub.

The new fully toroidal tubular rim uses design cues from the 1080 and Sub 9 development to further reduce the drag by 8-25 grams over the original 808. The new shape yields to a savings on the road of 2-7 watts of power for a pair of wheels at 30mph, not to mention the real-world benefits of added stiffness and improved braking due to a slightly wider rim and angled brake track.

It must be warned, however, Cyclingnews will be checking its list twice and anyone who submits more than one entry will be removed from the survey. So, have you been naughty or nice?

As another year of action-packed cycling draws to a close, so does the 2008 Cyclingnews reader poll. The team at Cyclingnews would like to thank all of our readers, who not only took the time to take part in the reader poll but also supported us throughout a massive 2008 season.

There will be no partying over the holidays for the Cyclingnews bean-counters, as they are now hard at work tallying up the results from this year's poll. At the end of the year, Cyclingnews will be revealing the winners of each category, and, of course, the lucky reader who will be rolling out on their new Zipp 808s wheels on the new 88/188 hub in 2009.
