Time Trial Junior U19 Men 14.5km
Junior Australian road team member Mark Jamieson used his track speed to take advantage of a flat time trial course on Saturday to take out the pre-worlds test event put on for the Italian junior team.
Jamieson's time of 17m35sec gave him an average speed of 49.46kph. In 2nd spot was the reigning Italian champion Roberto Trafficante and in 3rd was the winner of last weekend's Giro Della Lunigiana, a World Cup race.
Fellow team members James Meadley and Richard Moffatt also put in fast rides to place 9th and 12th in a national class field.
