Duggan takes Batterstown Handicap

By Shane Stokes, Irishcycling.com

The traditional Dublin-Drogheda event was replaced by a handicap race in Batterstown, where Bray Wheelers rider Thomas Duggan came out best. Riding well together to maintain their advantage over the senior riders chasing behind, junior cyclist Duggan and the veterans Sean Lally and Oliver McQuaid took the first three placings, with Duggan's team mate Paul McMahon finishing fourth. Fastest on the day was Navan Avonmore cyclist Robert Whelan.
