Stage 20 - September 25: La Vega de Alcobendas - Puerto de Navacerrada, 178 km
The last mountain stage of this year's race, stage twenty pits the peloton against the infamous Madrid and Segovian Sierras with four horrific Cat. 1 climbs, Alto de Marasiegos, Puerto de Cotos, Alto del León, and the mythical climb to the finish, Puerto de Navacerrada.
Unlike so many over Grand Tours this Vuelta is packed with days in which a rider could win or lose everything over the course of the day or a small part of it. Today's stage is one of those with all lights flashing. The climber's last chance to make some time on the rouleurs.
