Latham wins time trial stage

New Zealand under 23 road and time trial champion Peter Latham scorched over the time trial course this morning to win the stage of the Powernet Tour of Southland. Latham, the leader in the under 23 category of the tour beat Scott Guyton by 7 seconds with race leader John Lieswyn third.

Invercargill veteran John Alabaster who caused a sensation in winning this stage last year finished 15th this morning.
