Andrea Hannos wins Tour de White Rock and BC Superweek

Team RONA/Esker's Andrea Hannos has won the Tour de White Rock, with teammate Kristen LaSasso finishing second in front of Lisa Sweeney (Team Kappa).
Thanks to this victory, Hannos won the overall title of the BC Superweek, awarded according to the cumulative results of the Tour de Delta, Tour de Gastown and Tour de White Rock, three events held between July 18 and July 27 in the Greater Vancouver Area. LaSasso ranked third in the Superweek.
The Tour de White Rock is a series of three races held on three consecutive days. The riders are ranked not by total time, but according to points earned for their rank in each race. There is a 700-metre hill climb, followed by a 30-km criterium and an 82-km road race. Then the BC Superweek is ranked by adding these points to those earned in the Tour de Delta and the Tour de Gastown.
In the Tour de White Rock, Andrea Hannos earned a total of 27 points thanks to her second lace in the hill climb, her fifth spot in the criterium and her fourth place in the road race. LaSasso earned her second spot overall by finishing sixth in the hill climb, fourth in the criterium and second n the road race.
In the overall Superweek, Hannos totals 61 points, in front of Lisa Sweeney and Kristen LaSasso, with 43 and 30 points respectively.
