After a week of rain and very little road riding, most riders who attended Waratah Park at Sutherland were very keen to go racing. On the agenda for this week were graded scratch races. On the line, 4 grades from A through to D. Each grade had a very good turnout and all racing was to be over the more demanding "track 3" which is a 1.5 kilometre circuit with a nice climb of approximately 450 metres and rising about 40 - 50 metres.

A grade took off first and then is was 30 second intervals to B, C and D grade respectively. The track was still rather wet after all the recent rain, however we weren't getting wet from the rain falling which was a really nice change.

All races went very well with the results from each grade listed below.

Visitors are welcome to join Southern Cross and race at Waratah Park every Sunday from 8.30 am.
