Black takes day two

The second day of the Estonian Cycling Weekend brought joy for Continental Team Differdange. The best man on the city circuit of SEB Tartu Grand Prix 2009 was Hannes Blank who covered 187km with 4:28:37.

The second place belonged to Aleksejs Saramotins from Latvian National Team and third to Estonian rider Janek Tombak from Cycling Club Bourgas. The winner was decided on photo finish.

According to Blank he was able to win the race because he had a teammate in the leading group who helped him on the last kilometer. He said it was one of the greatest victories in his career.

Rein Taaramäe (Estonian National Team) was also in the leading group of five men on last laps, but abandoned the race because of physical problems.

Altogether 14 teams and 101 riders started for the 15 lap race.
