Mount San Bruno Hill Climb, San Francisco, California, January 1, 2007
Mount San Bruno is just south of San Francisco, and it is easy to see with all of the antennas atop it. Each year, on New Year's day morning, there is a race to the top.The first section of the climb is on a well paved, wide road, the Guadalupe Canyon Parkway. At the top of this road, the riders turn right and pass under the Parkway onto Radio Road. Radio Rd is a bumpy, narrow, two lane road with up to 11 percent grade sections that take the riders to the summit of San Bruno Mountain.
