Frenchman Christophe Mengin (Française Des Jeux) won the fourth stage of Etoile de Bessèges in a sprint after 151 kilometres of racing around Les Fumades. The 38 year-old pulled off the win over Belgian Frédéric Amorison (Landbouwkrediet-Tönissteiner) and compatriot Jimmy Casper (Unibet.com). On the heels of Sébastien Chavanel (Française Des Jeux), in fifth, winner of stage one, was Italian Angelo Furlan (Crédit Agricole).
Winner of yesterday's stage, Nick Nuyens (Cofidis), keeps the leader's orange jersey. The race concludes tomorrow with a 148 kilometre stage from Gagnières to Bessèges.
