Stage 3 - September 14: Razgrad - Varna, 134 km

Two riders gain 7 minutes

By Bram de Waard

Throughout the stage, the riders had a pretty strong headwind. After 50 kilometers a group of nine riders escaped with the leader in GC Tomasz Kloczko. They took a maximum lead of 40 seconds, as the Norwegian National Team, Teag Team Kostritzer and B.R.C Kennemerland had to ride for more 20 kilometres to neutralize the escape. When they caught back the break, Gregor Zajc and Kemeal Kucubay escaped and quickly made a difference of 11 minutes. Zaic won the stage ahead of Kucubay, while Ivailo Gabrovski won the bunch sprint more than 7 minutes behind.
