Another Dutch victory

Bertine Spijkerman (@Home Cycling Team) took the sprint in the final stage against the strength of three other team lead outs. Spijkerman's win in front of her home crowd, wraps up the three day tour in the Netherlands with yesterdays winner Sissy Alebeek (Mix Team Farm Frites) safely holding onto her lead of the tour with a third place in today's stage.

On a very windy day the pace was fast and furious with the Farm Frites team taking control from the word go. Due to the nature of the course the wind either made for a fast tail wind or a strong headwind but not a lot of crosswind sections. There was still a lot of tension in the bunch and quite a few crashes on the narrow roads, with riders trying to position themselves to stay out of the wind.
Farm Frites stayed well in control and nothing was able to escape. The race ended with a 110 person bunch sprint at the end of the flat 60km day. Farm Frites, the German National team and Nobili Rubinetterie all put their team on the front to lead out their sprinters, but it was Spijkerman who was able to come around and take the win, with Olga Slyusareva taking second from Albeek. Second in the overall was Kirsten Wild (Home Cycling Team), followed by Sharon Van Essen (Vrienden v/h Platteland).
