Stage 1 - July 10: Krasna Lipa - Krasna Lipa, 115 km

Valentyna Karpenko (Velodames-Itálie) won today's stage of the Tour de Feminin - Krasna Lipa. The Ukrainian broke away with German rider Sarah Düster (Red-Bull) and gained a minute on the field by the end of the 112 kilometre stage.

In Nurnberger's attempt to chase the pair, another break of seven formed including Nurnberger's Margaret Hemsley. Karpaenko and Duster were too strong however, and kept their lead all the way to the finish with the chasing group of seven finishing only 10 seconds in front of the main peloton.

Tomorrow riders face a 95km stage in Krasna Lipa which was won last year by Poland's Bogumila Matusiak.
