Description

Vuelta Ciclista a España 1999 started in Murcia. This year, the riders who had been able to keep on competing for 15 days will face the last week amid a great tension. The riders will have had a day off to rest, as well as the directors, who will also have had time to settle a perfect strategy to reach the aims they have in mind. On the way to Murcia, a tense week will start as some teams will have to fight for the victory they could not achieve before. Directors are usually useful "pressure machines" during the last week of a big race. They will try to find the victory they lack between Alcoi and Murcia. In moments like this, regarding tactics, everything is valid because the only significant thing is to win in Murcia.
