The commencement of the 2000 Six Day season saw a big crowd turn out
for the first night of the Berlin six. The first event was won by the
German duo of Andreas Kappes and Olaf Pollack from Martinello/Villa
and Bartko/McGrory. The latter pair won the second chase, but consistent
riding by Italians Adriano Baffi and Andrea Collinelli put this pair
on top after the first night.
