Stage 4 - December 27:
Zhongshan Road Race, 80.8 km
Hong Kong CA make it
two from two
The Hong Kong Cycling Association's winning streak continued in the
Tour of the South China Sea with a victory to 19 year old Lau King-yu
in the 80 kilometre road race that finished in his home town of Zhongshan.
Lau King-yu outsprinted Australian Michael Simms and South Africa's
Neil McDonald at the end of another fast stage that ended in a bunch
sprint. Lau was watched by his parents and other members of his family
as he recorded a very popular win.
However, the Hong Kong team didn't have things all go their way after
Ho Siu-lun lost his leader's jersey to McDonald, who picked up a time
bonus for third place.
