Same race, new location. The 2.2 rated New Zealand Cycle Classic, takes place for the 25th time in its growing history, but uniquely this year has moved to the Manawatu region.
The race boasts a truly international flavour in 2012, with several continental and pro-conti teams attending this year's event. Among them are Team Type 1, Drapac, Genesys, Jayco-AIS and Subway Pro Cycling.
"This is a great opportunity for cycling and the Manawatu region in general. I'm really excited by the change of environment, Manawatu is perfect for cycling at all levels and a new challenge for the race," said race director Jorge Sandoval.
