Anne-Caroline Chausson made even more history for France. The 30 year-old was one of the oldest starters in the women's BMX race, having only returned to cycling after hearing BMX would make its Olympic debut. The Frenchwoman returned in style too, storming through heat wins on her way to Olympic gold. The mountain biking legend then announced she would return to retirment from the professional sport.
