Schumacher positive

Stefan Schumacher (Shimano-Memory Corp), winner of the recent Dutch stage race Ster Elektrotoer, has tested positive for the performance-enhancing stimulant cathine during the Rheinland-Pfalz-Rundfahrt, where he had won three of the five stages as well as the General Classification. The International Cycling Union informed the German Cycling Federation on Monday about the positive result. The 23 year-old German, who is currently leading the UCI Europe Tour rankings, has been provisionally suspended by his team and may now request the testing of a B sample.
