Tour de France tech: Cannondale lets animals loose on the Tour
Nine animal depictions grace SuperSix EVO frames
This article originally appeared on BikeRadar
UK artist Death Spray teamed up with Cannondale for animal-themed paintjobs for each of the team’s nine riders at the Tour de France. Ranging from Peter Sagan’s Wolverine to Ted King’s Grizzly Bear to the somewhat benign-sounding Chameleon of Alessandro De Marchi, each rider got his own piece of artwork.
Cannondale is racing SuperSix EVOs for every road stage of the Tour de France except stage 5,'the Paris-Roubaix stage', which tackles nine sections of cobbles. There, Cannondale riders will use the Synapse endurance bike.
The SuperSix EVO is a hyperlight (700g) frame with flattened seatstays for a touch of comfort.
