Isasi surgery successful

Euskaltel-Euskadi rider Iñaki Isasi underwent a successful operation in Bilbao to repair his collarbone, which he fractured during the final stage of the Vuelta a Asturias. Isasi got a new plate on his left clavicle, the same one which was fractured earlier this season in a crash in the first stage of the Vuelta a Murcia.

Isasi will remain in the hospital until Saturday morning, and if his recovery goes according to plan, he will resume training on the rollers in seven to eight days and then return to the road in about 15 days.
