Unipublic, the organisers of the Vuelta a España, has named the 22 teams that will take part in its race between August 26 and September 17. In addition to the 20 ProTour teams, Spanish pro continental squads Comunidad Valenciana and Relax-Gam have been invited to take part.
According to UCI regulations, the team list has to be announced now, which is not to Unipublic's liking. "The development of the season may suggest to us to change this list, but the current regulations do not permit this."
