2006 Team rosters

Proman/Paradigm women's squad

A new team, based in San Anselmo, California, USA is making its debut in 2006. Proman/Paradigm is an elite women's squad founded by Nicola Cranmer and supported by Julia Violich's local shop Paradigm Cycles (formerly Gravywheels) and her non-profit club, Tam Cycling. Their title sponsor, Proman, is a full service Project Management Organization based in Düsseldorf, Germany. The company has been serving the process industries on a worldwide basis for over two decades.

The team will focus on achieving competitive results, but also enjoyment of the process, as well as juggling full time careers while achieving racing goals. Along with Nicola Cranmer, Emily Zell, who raced with Cranmer last season on Village Peddler, has aided in forming a powerful team, with both strong veterans and promising newcomers.

Strengthening this squad are powerhouses Helene Drumm and her sister and team captain, Kristin Drumm, both of Marin County and previously on the Morgan Stanley/24 Hour Fitness team. Lorraine Jarvis is a multiple District Champion on the track and a seasoned racer, and Kristina Seley, coming off a breakthrough season, has proved herself a strong climber and endurance junkie. Lori Cox and Jana Roberts, formerly of Velo Girls and McGuire, respectively, will add sprinting power and racing experience to the team. While one goal is to keep the team small, Cranmer would like it known that there is a spot still available for the right elite 1/2 racer. Contact her at: ncranmer@aol.com.

The team plans to compete consistently throughout the 2006 season, and although they are a diverse group of riders, experienced in road, mountain, track and cyclocross disciplines, their focus for the 2006 season is road, including a number of NRC races in California and throughout the United States, NCNCA Premiere Series, Crit Nationals and Track Masters Nationals. Look out for a competitive and formative cyclocross team for winter 2006, when former National team member Rachel Lloyd, will join their ranks for cyclocross and select road races.

In addition to Proman and Paradigm Cycles, the team is receiving additional support from Orbea bikes, Rudy Project, DMT, DuMonde Tech, Superfeet and DeFeet, with apparel, accessories and shoes for the riders. Clif Bar and Champion Nutrition provide nutritional products. Gourmet & More, Mellow Motors, and Mez Design (who worked directly with the team on their all-new kit design) have also generously helped to strengthen this new team. Coaching, bike fit and mss testing is provided by Whole Athlete.

With a record number of female racers in the Northern California district, as well as several other newly formed teams, the women of Proman/Paradigm look forward to a new season, and anticipate it will be filled with the challenges of highly motivated competitors. They would not have it any other way.
