2006 Team rostersEclipse Racing Presented by Easy Care/Dunafon DevelopmentThe Eclipse Racing Team Presented by Easy Care Inc./Dunafon Development, LLC returns this year with a mixture of young aggressive and talented veteran racers. The team will kick off its season at this year's Valley of the Sun Stage Race (Phoenix, AZ) which will serve as the team's first official race outing. For 2006, Eclipse Racing has strengthened its team by adding seven new faces to the roster while retaining 11 of last year's teammates, including Tour of the Gila category 2 winner, Kyle Colavito and Arizona State Points Champion Scott Blanchard. Blanchard and Colavito will head Eclipse Racing's cat. 1 team with Shane Peltonen returning after being off a year due to an injury. Team captain Scott Blanchard said, "We're very excited to have Kyle and Shane returning for 2006. We're looking at two other specific riders to be added by the end of January to complete our five man cat. 1 team." Eclipse's category 1 team will focus primarily on NRC races throughout the year and other races such as the Vuelta Sonora UCI race in Mexico this February. Eclipse Racing's category 2-3 development team has announced seven returning and seven new teammates to its roster for 2006. Eclipse's development team will focus on regional USCF races and various NRC races throughout the Southwest. "We've added some real strength and power to this year's development team with the addition of pro mountain biker Tim Bolton, all-rounder Emiliano Jordan and Mexican National U-23 team member Pablo Sanchez," said Blanchard. "We are a young team in terms of overall experience but for this year and even more so the following year, we have the backing, the vision, and the desire to build a very competitive race team. In 2007 our program will include a nine member, cat. 1 NRC team while retaining the 2-3 development Team." Eclipse Racing will be sponsored by Easy Care Inc. and Dunafon Development LLC. for the 2006 race season. Marketing director Jeff Parker said, "Eclipse Racing has always looked for title sponsors who are willing to look at the long-term [5-10 year] business plan regarding the team and we're excited to have both Easy Care Inc. and Dunafon Development LLC. on board for the long term partnership with us in this exciting endeavour."
