Paris-Nice stage 4 cancelled

The fourth stage of Paris-Nice has been cancelled due to the inclement weather. The decision was made to shorten the stage this morning, starting after the first two third category climbs, but the situation wasn't getting any better further along the parcours.

"On the Col de la Croix de l'Homme Mort, it was -4 degrees, the road was wet, and the snow was still falling," explained race director Jean-Marie Leblanc. After discussing the conditions with race officials, Leblanc decided it best to call it a day.
