Darrell and Buchanan win in Goulburn

Racers competed in round two of the NSW / ACT Mountain X Series in Goulburn in harsh weather conditions with heavy wind blazing through the event centre, challenging racers - and numerous spectators.

Leigh Darrell from Canberra again took the first place in the elite men's category and is now leading the series. Cody Eichhorn from Wollongong and Brett Minion from CORC in Canberra came in second and third, respectively. The elite women's category was dominated this time by renowned Canberra-based rider Caroline Buchanan coming in first, followed by Harriett Burbidge-Smith and Danielle Beecroft secured the third place.

The Under 19 riders were racing among elite riders this Sunday, and the heats were intense - despite the freezing cold - with Ryan Hunt, Seaton Humphreys and Ben Nylen battling it out in a tight showdown for the top three.

The Under 15 junior categories were won by Angus Easthope from Penrith and Tayla Barnes. In the Under 17 race, Jamie Abbott secured first place, followed by Liam Kilgannon and with Mat Hall coming in third, as in Round 1.

The next Round will take place in Ebenezer on June 15
