Garmin-Slipstream's emerging sprint star goes on tour once more

Tyler Farrar entered the Vuelta a España with the ink still drying on the biggest month of his career. Dominant sprint performances at the Eneco Tour and Vattenfall Cyclassics saw him shoot up the International Cycling Union's World Ranking system.

White-hot form had his Garmin teammates confident of yet another top performance at the Vuelta. A few days in and the stage win hadn't yet materialised, but given a mere sniff of opportunity and Farrar is bound to take it.
