Peter's love of cycling began when he stumbled across the finish of the Tour of Valencia in 1985, when studying in that city. It rapidly increased thanks to Robert Millar's epic ride at that year's Vuelta and was subsequently cemented when he spent several months touring Central America on a bright pink but totally indestructible Scott mountain bike.
In 1993, Peter was taken on by IPC Magazines as they were about to launch Cycle Sport and spent four years on the staff there, where he also worked on Cycling Weekly. After missing out on millionaire-dom during the dot com boom at the turn of the century, Peter started freelancing for Procycling in 2001 and was appointed editor of the magazine in May 2006. After three years at Pro, Peter returned to freelancing and regularly contributes to Cyclingnews and Procycling.
